Beachgoers in parts of New York and New Jersey saw a startling image in the sky Saturday afternoon: A plane towing a banner with a swastika-themed message.
The banner had swastika imagery and promoted the website “proswastika.org.”
An organization called The International Raelian Movement was behind the banners, and the group’s spokesperson, Thomas Kaenzig, told NBC 4 New York they aim to reclaim a symbol they believe was “hijacked by the Nazis.”
“I am deeply offended and hurt,” said Councilman Mark Treyger of Brooklyn. “Try explaining to someone who witnessed their loved ones who were butchered by people under that Nazi symbol that it’s anything but a hateful one.”

Google Raelians and you will be amused. Bunch of wacko nut jobs.
I remember this happening last year. So, before everyone starts ranting about the anti-semitism, thats not its intentions.
NO, I AM NOT SAYING THAT ITS OKAY, AND YES I UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE TAKE OFFENSE TO IT(and rightfully so). I THINK ITS WEIRD AND PATHETIC, AND FRANKLY THIS “ORGANIZATION” IS WASTING A LOT OF $$ FLYING THIS BANNER FOR NO REASON AT ALL.
Yes, as # 1 points out, they are a bunch of nut jobs. They are a small group of Athiests who claim that they designed the swastika and the Nazi’s YS”V perverted it.
DO NOT GOOGLE IT…TRUST ME PLEASE…NOTHING INTERESTING, JUST REALLY NOT NICE
