Friday morning in the Gush Dan region began as any other despite the warfare. That all changed however when long range rockets were fired at Tel Aviv again into the Gush Dan region, this time causing damage. Shrapnel fell onto streets in the city as sirens wailed at about 10:45 throughout Gush Dan the Sharon region and the Shvelah. Sirens were also heard in Ben-Gurion International Airport bringing a halt to all takeoffs and landings for nine minutes. Hamas announced it had fired four M75 rockets.
During that same volley, the Iron Dome intercepted three rockets, sending shrapnel down to the streets below. The shul is closed at present, undergoing renovations so there were no injuries B”H.
The shul’s gabbai, Michael Biton told Ynet “A cleaner was there during the morning hours and at the moment he heard the siren he left, saving him from injury”.
Ayalah, an eyewitness that spoke we Ynet explained she heard a very powerful explosion, adding “there was no one in the shul thank G-d.”
In another attack during the afternoon hours a home in the Eshkol Council region was hit. The family was in their safe room and B’chasdei Hashem escaped injuries. The home was hit near the living room.
