Chicago Police are at a locked down Mount Sinai Hospital this morning after someone called in a threat, police said.
Police responded to a threatening phone call placed to the hospital about 10:25 a.m., Police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said. The hospital has gone into a lockdown as a precaution, Sedevic said.
A spokeswoman for Mount Sinai, which is located at 1500 S. California Avenue, said the hospital is taking “all necessary precautions” to address the situation.
“The lockdown is to protect the safety of our patients, caregivers and visitors,” said Dianne Hunter, the hospital’s director of public relations and communications.
