Mr. Yishai Frenkel, the father of Naftali HY”D spoke with Channel 2 News on Wednesday morning, 11 Tammuz 5774. Mr. Frenkel told the nation that “what has taken place in this country in the past weeks is what might occur in another country over the span of a decade”, seeking to highlight just how intense life in Israel is.

Frenkel used the opportunity to once again thank everyone. Naftali’s grandfather, Mr. Shmuel Shai Cohen echoed these words, stressing it is truly amazing to see how an entire nation embraced the families. He thanked the nation, state officials and residents of Israel for the overwhelming support. He explained that while the country is now busy with Operation Protective Edge, he and the families know they are not forgotten and the warmth and embrace of the nation will remain with them forever. He stated that the support they received was amazing on every level but now it is time for them to slowly get back to their lives.
