Six days following the murder of 16-year-old Muhmad Abu-Khenin, investigators announced the arrests of Jewish suspects in what is being labeled an act of terror. The six Jews involved in the heinous act murdered a 16-year-old Shuafat resident to avenge the Hamas murders of Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrach HY”D.

According to the information released, three of the suspects abducted Abu-Khenin from the Shuafat area of the capital during the predawn hours. The others assisted in some way but only three of the six actually carried out the kidnapping.

They took the victim to the Jerusalem Forest, poured gasoline on him and set him ablaze while he was still alive.

Investigators report they first probed the criminal aspect of the case but they soon realized they were up against a dead end, shifting to the possibility of a revenge murder, an act of Jewish terror.

Reviewing Shuafat area surveillance cameras investigators tracked the Honda Accord that was used by the suspects to abduct their subject. On Sunday 8 Tammuz 5774, agents involved in the case raided the homes of the six suspects and made the arrests. Family members present when the agents arrived describe how agents had their weapons drawn when they entered the homes.
