Deputy Minister of Religious Services Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan commented to the media from the protest tent that was established near the community of Karmei Tzur, at the site of the discovery of the bodies of the kedoshim, Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrach HY”D.
“I expect and hope the government will annex Gush Etzion to the State of Israel” he explained from the tent, which was set up in cooperation between residents of Gush Etzion and the Hebron area, davka in the vicinity of Halhul where the bodies were found.
Rav Ben-Dahan added “the community of Karmei Tzur is from the Hashmonaim period and there is no greater statement of our connection to Eretz Yisrael. Am Yisrael is connected by its fiver. This is an opportunity to call to the Government of Israel to accept the truth of this entire area – to apply Israeli law to all of Gush Etzion. An area that by all accounts all shades of Israelis agree it should remain as part of Israel [in any future agreements]”.
“This presents an opportunity to actualize our true connection with Gush Etzion and it history and the Hashmonaim…”
The deputy minister explained this is the appropriate response in light of the horrific events that occurred.

One Response
It is one appropriate response. The other would be to clear out all the Hamas members from all of Yehuda and Shomron and deport them to Gaza, and destroy all their tunnels and arms. Another would be to change the directives to the IDF to show more regard for their safety and less for their attackers. There will surely be a lot of riots when they attempt to clear out all the terrorists. Fatah officials can stay for now but are given notice that they too will be thrown out if they persist and aid terror actions.
