Police have released the identity and photo of a driver in connection with a stolen vehicle that hopped a curb in Brooklyn and fatally struck a 12-year-old girl and critically injured two others.
The NYPD says 26-year-old Robert Decarlo of Brooklyn fled the scene after he allegedly struck the three as they walked on the sidewalk Wednesday afternoon.
Police identified the 12-year-old girl as Joey Sellers.
A 9-year-old girl and a 38-year-old woman are listed in critical condition at Kings County Hospital. They weren’t identified.
Police say the 2005 Dodge Caravan had been reported stolen Friday in another part of Brooklyn. They say a preliminary investigation showed the driver lost control and jumped the curb.
Officers found the two girls and woman on the ground with severe body trauma.
