Security authorities telephoned Shalom Friedman, the manger of the “280 Optika” store in Elad on motzei Shabbos in the middle of the night. Police arrived at the store with a pair of eyeglasses in hand, and Shalom was able to confirm the frame was purchased in that store. It happened to be an exclusive frame that they carry.

In the morning police brought fragments of lenses and they were sufficient to confirm they were the same prescription worn by Eyal.
