09:50 IL: Reports from southern Israel indicate two homes in the S’dot Negev Regional Council sustained light damage in rocket attacks earlier this morning, Monday, 2 Tammuz. A number of people were treated for hysteria as well.

07:08 IL: Sirens were sounding throughout the Eshkol Regional Council signaling incoming rockets from Gaza. B’chasdei Hashem there are no reports of fatalities or injuries in the Monday morning attack. Eight rockets exploded in open areas.

Life for southern residents is once again a reality of daily rocket attacks and the need to be near a shelter. On Sunday night the eve of 2 Tammuz 5774, rockets were fired from the Khan Yunis area of Gaza. Sirens were heard in Netivot, Sderot and area communities. A number of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system while others landed in open areas. B’chasdei Hashem there were no fatalities or injuries in those attacks either.

On motzei Shabbos, rockets slammed into Sderot factories, resulting in a major fire that destroyed the factories.  Officials on Sunday reported the damage is estimated in the tens of millions of shekels. B’chasdei Hashem there were no fatalities. A number of people sustained light injuries.

Shortly following the Sunday night attack the IAF struck terrorists preparing rockets for launching. According to reports from Gaza, a Hamas terrorist was eliminated and three other terrorists were injured. One of the cell members is reported in serious condition.
