Spain and Italy are the latest European nations opposing investments in businesses over the Green Line, in areas of Yehuda and Shomron. They are now members of the club, which also includes the UK, Germany and France.
While some view their announced position as symbolic at present, these large EU nations can have a significant negative impact on the economy of businesses in Yehuda and Shomron. These nations are openly opposed to the ongoing construction in Yehuda and Shomron in addition to expressing concerns over the breakdown in talks between Israel and the PA. They are now expressing their opposition to investing in businesses in “occupied areas”.
It is important to point out that in the eyes of these nations, “over the Green Line” also includes the Golan Heights area areas of Yerushalayim liberated in the June 1967 Six Day War such as Ramat Eshkol, Ramot, N’vei Yaakov and many other neighborhoods.
The position taken by these five countries, which represent the primary economic power in the European Union, is a worrisome sign for Israel. In Jerusalem coalition officials however do not appear overly concerned, shrugging off the political warning as nothing more than an “obscured text”.
The EU does not share Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s adamant opposition to the new PA unity government that includes Fatah and Hamas despite the recent kidnapping of three yeshiva talmidim, which the prime minister attributes to Hamas. The EU is working to pressure Israel to resume negotiations with the PA.

Boycott Italian and spanish goods such as Fendi, Luis Vuitton and leather goods or shoes made in Italy and Spain.Don’t buy italian made cars. Don’t visit Spain or Italy. Why would anyone in their right mind want to accept citizenship from Spain? Why is the Pope silent? Italy and Spain, you can keep your garbage! You can’t change the stripes of a tiger and you all know very well that beneath the smiles of the Italians and Spaniards lie hatred for the jews.
All Jew haters are coming out off the wood works
How come that the majotity of the Israeli government och the Israeli right, including most of the Haredim, reminds me of the ostrich? The one that puts his head in the sand, does not see anything and therefore thinks nothing is happening.
Absolutely no Jews should visit and spend money in any of those countries. We can and must boycott them.
