Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has called for the destruction of Idna Village home of the terrorist who allegedly murdered Israel Police Chief Superintendent Baruch Mizrachi on erev Pesach.
It was announced on Monday, 25 Sivan, that the 42-year-old Ziad Awad is in custody for the murder. The arrest was made over a month ago but it was not announced as ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) officials wanted to make sure there are no other tied to the murder. Awid’s 18-year-old son Izzadin is also in custody, apparently for assisting his father to flee the scene and hide. Ziad was serving a 27-year prison term for murdering an informant who assisted Israeli security agents. He was released with over 1,000 other terrorists in the Gilad Shalit deal.
Agents of the IDF Civil Administration presented family members with the demolition order on Monday afternoon, informing them they have 24 hours to file an appeal in an effort to prevent the demolition. Undoubtedly an appeal to block the demolition will be filed with the Supreme Court.
Mrs. Hadas Mizrachi, the widow, told reporters following the attack that she is once again pleading with the government to stop releasing terrorists. She pointed out that “here another family was destroyed and the additional releases of terrorists will just lead to more of the same”. She added “If they did not have a negotiating card my husband would still be alive. The true solution is the death penalty for terrorists”.
The commander was murdered as he, his wife and family were driving to Pesach seder. Awad opened fire at their vehicle with a Kalashnikov AK 47 assault rifle, firing dozens of shots. Baruch HY”D was killed and his wife injured.
Both father and son were indicted in a military court.
Bayit Yehudi leader Minister of the Economy Naftali Bennett and Housing Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Uri Ariel stated this is yet another proof that the policy of prisoner exchanges involving the release of terrorists must become a thing of the past. They are calling on the cabinet to accept the [classified] recommendations of the Shamgar Committee and immediately halt the release of any and all terrorists from prison.

Wow. What a tough government. Imagine if America announced that they are demolishing the homes of bin Laden and sadam hussein (and nothing to them besides arresting them till the next prisoner release) The American people would NEVER go for that!
Just remind us who approved the release of those terrorists…
