Jackson Zoning Board Denies Application for Frum Lakewood School

1

Members of the Jackson Township Zoning Board on Wednesday night denied an application to build the 400-student Oros Bais Yaakov private high school for Orthodox girls, the Ocean County Signal reported.

The unanimous decision dealt a blow to the applicant’s attorney Ray Shea and a victory to the “Jackson Citizens Defense Fund”,  a group of residents who came together to oppose the development of the non-conforming application.

  1. What do you expect? When Frum people tend to move in large groups into an area, we tend to bulldoze our way in and ignore the locals who were living there before, getting them upset. It happened in Lakewood, Monsey, and Monroe. If we behaved with middos and metchlechkiet when we moved in, people who have no problem. Instead Jackson is afraid that what happened in Lakewood, where frum people control the local government and ignore the needs of the non-Jews to give priority to the frum community, will happen there. Maybe if we behaved like the way the mussur seforim tell us to behave and we remembered that we are in glaus, they in the future they would have no problem with us moving in and welcoming us with open arms. Let start a new chapter today, and maybe act the way yideen should when interacting with goyim in galus

  2. @Keeves, You sound like you have never seen the new community in Jackson, and know nothing about them. Nobody is “bulldozing their way in”

  3. Do you blame them? They don’t want Jackson to turn into another Lakewood, with all it’s traffic and building etc.

  4. You know Realisticguy I never thought of it that way but I think you’re absolutely right. Maybe Hashem is repaying these guys with discrimination as a result of the Mengele type selections that they make. G-D forbid a father should be working or wearing a colored shirt or any of the other reasons they discriminate against regular good people who dont have the pull or the money to buy their way in to the school of their choice.
    Midda keneged midda!

  5. I agree. What do you expect? I want no part of the taking over of communities and I am glad this happened.

All of the super religious can move and leave the good people of NJ alone. We would not get away with this in Bergen county or Somerset county. We tend to take over the poorest counties and force ourselves on them and I am done with the bullying.

One day separation of church and state will very much include us as well, and we all know we have run over laws by refusing to abide by them and using our religion as a scapegoat. How pathetic is that? It’s despicable and I’m ashamed. You should be too.

Mengele forced himself on to our ancestors and what are we doing with these “projects”? Forcing ourselves on others and for what? To prove a point? To “take over”?

To reclaim something from those who never took from us?

The USA is not going to be a Jewish nation. Not ever. Stop pushing it and learn to get along with others.

Stop being rude, stop turning your nose up, you will be so much happier. Mulsims who have acclimated as opposed to hiding in this country are much less depressed than our women are. The amount of our own who have scrips for xanex and valium, just to cope with the day-to-day ridiculousness of it all are huge.

    Midda keneged midda indeed!

  6. “Communities” not wanting Jews in their neighborhood is not a new phenominon. This has been around at least as long as their has been Jews around.
