Incoming passengers arriving in Ben-Gurion International Airport on Thursday morning 21 Sivan experienced significant delays due to a work slowdown by customs officials. The work slowdown was called after talks between labor and management broke down.
Involved in a dispute over work conditions, customs inspectors were instructed by union leaders to begin a work slowdown and they did just that. Each arriving passenger was stopped for inspection, leading to delays in clearing the airport.
Channel 2 News at 13:00 announced union officials ordered to halt the slowdown and return to regular operations.
