FM Lieberman Addresses European Foreign Ministers on Terrorist Kidnapping


liebermanForeign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Tuesday, 19 Sivan 5774 met with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Britain, Belgium, Bulgaria and Norway, and thanked them for their condemnation of the abduction of the three Israeli teenagers, for their solidarity with Israel and for the unequivocal position they expressed.

Over the past few days, senior MFA diplomats have been in contact with those and other countries to brief them on the details of the abduction and its significance.

In his discussions with his counterparts, FM Lieberman also discussed Middle East issues and the Israel-Palestinian Authority relationship following the formation of the Fatah-Hamas pact. After thanking them for their condemnation,

Lieberman told his counterparts that Israel is determined and will do everything in its power to bring about the release of the three teenagers, and will severely punish those responsible for the abduction.

In meetings in which the foreign minister participated during his visit to Africa, all the heads of state with whom he met condemned the abduction and emphasized the need for strengthening cooperation with Israel against terrorism that strikes not only in the Middle East but in East and West Africa as well.
