The IDF during the night continued making arrests as they took additional Hamas terrorists into custody. Analysts explain that in addition to efforts to gather credible intelligence information that will lead to the location of the captive youths, the government is taking advantage of the unfortunate situation to come down hard on Hamas, hoping to significantly dismantle its Yehuda and Shomron infrastructure.

Ten IDF brigades are already involved in Operation Brothers Return, and to date, B’chasdei Hashem resistance from PA (Palestinian Authority) residents has been minimal.

Senior government officials including Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon are now seemingly preparing the families for a longer haul than was hoped for which may include an expanded military operation.
