After years of preparation, as the Jewish museum in Radomsk, Poland is about to open it was targeted by vandals. The outdoor museum is located in the city square and it is made of stone that can endure all types of weather elements.
When workers arrived on Monday 18 Sivan 5774 they were planning to tend to last minute details. However they were horrified to see vandals did considerable damage to the stones in an apparent hate attack. Police were summoned and an investigation was launched. The daily HaMevaser reports police hope the area surveillance videos will cast light on the investigation.
The opening is set for Monday, 25 Sivan, to be attended by local officials as well as diplomatic officials from throughout Europe.
