The NYPD says an officer has wounded a man who pointed a gun at police on a Brooklyn street.
The suspect was in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital following the incident early Monday.
Police had been responding to a 911 call about a disorderly group.
They followed the suspect about two blocks before he turned and pointed the gun near the corner of Liberty Avenue and Hinsdale Street. He was hit in the torso.
Police say a loaded gun was recovered at the scene.
Charges against the suspect were pending.
