  1. “…focus on hazardous driving behaviors such as speeding, passing through red lights, driving while using a cellphone, driving while texting, making improper turns, disobeying traffic signs…” I guess this means the NYPD is finally going to train its officers in traffic safety.

  2. One wrong doesn’t make a right.
Many police officers break laws while on and off duty. And some of these laws seem like no big deal because ” on ” every one dose it. So to most of us, it’s no big deal. But the truth is, it doesn’t make it right for any citizen to the break laws of the land. And “most” laws are for our safety.

Sadly, many people look up at police officers as role models, and think if they can get away with it? Why can’t I? And that’s how people get trapped. When they start giving tickets. Or when a cop is a signed to a post to check for seat belts, speeding, stop signs etc. on & on.

I see NYPD cops using cell phones while driving.
    Using cellphones, while speeding.
speeding above thirty in the city with out lights and sirens.
    Double parking.
Double parking in front of Fire hydrants.
Parking at crosswalks, fire hydrants, and bus stops and going in for Pizza.
And yes, even using foul language among them self in front of bystanders and maybe even children that are passing by.

But you know what? It doesn’t make it right for anyone else to break traffic laws. And if you get caught you can and should still get a ticket. We need and want safer streets for us and our children.
