An Egyptian governmental source told the PA (Palestinian Authority) Maan news agency that his country is working to bring an end to the kidnapping terror attack in which three youths were taken hostage by Hamas. The Ynet report states that there is ongoing contact with the Egyptian source and a Palestinian source without making direct contact with Hamas or the Islamic Jihad.

This report is leading some to believe that the hostages remain in an area under PA Control and they have not been taken to Gaza, Egypt or elsewhere.
