Regular teaching schedules halted in 700 dati leumi public schools around Israel on Sunday morning 17 Sivan to permit 300,000 students to recite Tehillim on behalf of the youths being held hostage by Arab terrorists. The hostages, 16-year-old Naftali Frenkel, 16-year-old Gilad Shaar and 19-year-old Eyal Yifrach, are believed to be held by terrorists in the PA (Palestinian Authority) area of Hebron or the Southern Hebron Hills.

The Ministry of Education is allocating a half hour to permit the talmidim to daven on behalf of the terror victims. HaRav Dr. Avraham Lifshitz, who heads the Chinuch HaDati in the ministry, explains the significance of the tefilos at this time, citing the special koach of the tefilos of tenokos shel beis raban.

The video shows one of the tefilla rallies at the Kosel on motzei Shabbos. Among the many mispallalim are Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita, Rabbi Ariel Shlita, Deputy Minister Rabbi Ben-Dahan, Jerusalem Councilman Dov Kalmanovich and Housing Minister Uri Ariel.
