A Chabad family from Lod was heading to the Kosel when attacked by Arabs on Wednesday, 13 Sivan 5774. The family was waking between the Lion’s Gate and Dung Gate when it came under attack by Arabs who pelted them with stones and glass bottles. The family reported the attack immediately.

The father told Chabad Online “We were walking by the promenade along the wall towards Shar Shechem when the attack involving bottles and stone began”.

The family members ran for cover while police were called. They hid until emergency responders arrived on the scene. The father reports the police response was immediate and EMS personnel treated them for their injuries.

Just days earlier a group of youths was attacked, with one victim hospitalized with a fractured skull as a result of being hit with a club. Another recorded attack took place in May near Herod’s Gate, when yeshiva bochrim were targeted on a Friday night.
