Jerusalem Councilman Aryeh King reports that a terror victim memorial on Maale Chevron Street in the Old City was targeted in a vandalism attack. King explains the memorial is for terror victim Eliyahu Emdi HY”D, who was murdered by an Arab terrorist in Marcheshvan 5747. The report states that vandals also tried to smash the memorial stone but were unsuccessful.
“As chairman of the Committee for the Commemoration of Terror Attacks in Yerushalayim I turned to city officials to respond as soon as possible to clean up the vandalism” King stated on his Facebook page, adding “I wonder if tonight in the TV news they will open broadcasts with members of the victim’s family. Will Jerusalem police to release a statement to the media regarding the ‘hate crime’ that was perpetrated under its nose? With hundreds of cameras record ever meter and alleyway in the Old City can we expect an arrest soon” he asks. King questions why so-called price tag attacks are big news but when Arabs attack Jewish venues in similar incidents officials remain silent.
