Dozens of the metallic doors for yahrzeit candles found in matzeivos in the Yarkon Beis HaChaim have disappeared of late. Police set up a stakeout and apprehended an Arab man in his 50s red handed.

On Sunday, 10 Sivan 5774, dozens of people who visited the Petach Tikvah beis chaim reported the metallic doors had been stolen. A complaint was filed with police, citing at least 50 of these doors were taken from matzeivos, apparently for their weight value.

After 12 hours of waiting the man police were waiting for made an appearance and he was apprehended red handed before dawn. The 51-year-old PA (Palestinian Authority) resident was also inside Green Line Israel without a permit.
