MK Rav Menachem Eliezer Moses used the Knesset plenum to show pieces of a siddur that was damaged in the shul arson attack on Kvish 6. He was referring to the Chabad caravan shul at the rest stop that provides motorists with a venue to daven and learn.
Moses explained that the media simply ignored this and other shul arson attacks because of the anti-religious and anti-chareidi atmosphere that prevails in the country today. Moses blasted the media, which he explained never misses an opportunity to report on every price tag attack while totally ignoring arson attacks against shuls.
He told lawmakers the Chabad shul was totally destroyed. He added that on that very same day a second shul was targeted, in Petach Tikvah, and damage was significant.
The chareidi MK explained that it simply boggles the mind how elected officials can become agitated and outraged over graffiti attacks while life continues as usual amid a growing number of arson attacks against shuls.
