A Spring Valley library reopened its doors today for the first time since a car smashed into it on Tuesday, as was reported on YWN..
Part of the Finkelstein Memorial Library was destroyed earlier this week when an SUV crashed through its front doors. Two people were injured in the accident, including a 15-year-old girl who was pinned under the SUV. Both victims are expected to be OK.
Those who regularly use the library are glad to have access to its services again.
Temporary wooden doors will remain in place indefinitely. The library’s director says it will take some time for the replacement glass to be installed.
Books are being inspected to make sure there is no glass debris between the pages.
