Three men were being sought Friday night after a woman in her 70s was tied up and shot during a home invasion robbery in Beverly Hills.
CBS2’s Art Barron spoke to one man who works just a few blocks from the home located in the 400 block of Doheny Road in the Trousdale Estates section of Beverly Hills.
“It’s kind of scary, a little odd that this is where people would pick [for a home invasion],” said Jason Dark. “but there is a lot of money here.”
He also said the area has a heavy police presence.
“It’s kind of a hard place to rob people, it’s kind of locked in,” Dark said.
On Friday night around 8:30PM an elderly couple in the mid 70′s answered their front door. They told police that three men barged in. One of the men had a handgun.
Friends identified the couple who live in the home as as Samuel and Diana Hirt. Both were tied up. Police say Diana was shot in the leg. The injury is non-life threatening, authorities said.
Both Hirts were taken to the hospital, Samuel — taken just as a precautionary measure. He was discharged today from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Police told Barron they are checking security video for any leads.

I thought guns were illegal?
Yes but only criminals are able to get them. Great system isn’t it?
