Authorities say a person has been seriously injured when a smoke bomb went off in a Brooklyn school bus.
Fire officials say 11 people were taken to hospitals for observation after the incident Tuesday. Five were treated at the scene
Department of Education spokeswoman Marge Feinberg says the bus was carrying students from the Brooklyn Dreams Charter School.
It happened at 7:22 a.m. Tuesday at Ocean Avenue and Dorchester Road.
Feinberg says the bus company reported that one or two children had set off the firecracker.
