In raids conducted by a number of agencies including the Tax Authority, Bituach Leumi, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Health, 16 businesses and homes of people who owe the Tax Authority money were raided. Officials confiscated 850,000 NIS in addition to a ton of inedible meat. Two trucks and a luxury vehicle were confiscated. Bituach Leumi was paid 49,000 NIS by some of those raided, and four suspects were taken into custody.

The meat was confiscated and will be destroyed. 40,000 NIS in fines were given to stores in possession of the tainted meat.
