Talmid torah rebbes, mechanchem, rabbonim and administrative staff will take part in the Ma’amad HaChinuch Kenos that will be attended by Gedolei Yisrael Shlita. The event will be held in Armanot Hall, beginning at 20:00.

The kenos was called by the gedolim to address those involved in chinuch to address the challenges being faced today.

The kenos will begin with Maariv and then the tzibur will hear from Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita and the Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita. the Biala Rebbe Shlita and Rosh Yeshivas Toshiah Tifrach HaGaon HaRav Aviezer Piltz ( פילץ) will give direction to participants. Bnei Brak Mayor Rav Chanoch Zeibert and Deputy Mayor Rav Avraham Rubinstein and others serving on the steering committee met ahead of the kenos, receiving a bracha from Rav Shteinman.

HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita expounded on the need for a teacher to be a true Yiras Shomayim towards instilling the necessary midos in the talmidim. This includes derech eretz for one’s rebbe and fear of parents.

HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein Shlita spoke of the need for an ounce of prevention by properly directing teachers and the need for rebbes and teachers to listen to the advice of the professionals in the field.

At the conclusion of the kenos organizers will announce a series of meetings to instruct teachers, a program that will be subsidized by City Hall. These meetings will seek to provide those entering the field to acquire the tools to address the challenges of education today.
