Once again MK Moshe Feiglin was stopped, singled out as he was heading to Har Habayis. This time police informed the Knesset deputy speaker that he may enter alone, but not accompanied by a small number of constituents as he intended. Feiglin spoke with the ranking officer, explaining a fundamental right and obligation of an elected official is to remain in touch with his constituents and that is what he was doing.
His calm demeanor and calculated effort to persuade the officer fell on deaf ears as it became clear he would not be able to visit Har Habayis accompanied by anyone other than his parliamentary aide. Ultimately Feiglin declined, explaining he cannot the terms set force, terms that defy logic and legality. Feiglin told the officer he hopes to use all means at this disposal to combat unilateral politically based decisions to distance him from Har Habayis.
Feiglin has a long-standing minhag to visit Har Habayis on the 19th of every month, as he attempted on Monday, 19 Iyar 5774. The deputy Knesset speaker arrived with a small contingent, people who were being led by him on this visit.
In a related matter, Har Habayis activist Yehuda Glick is in his 50th day of a hunger strike, which he launched when he was banned from Har Habayis by police.

This fool should begin to do some other issur careis instead
that won’t be as provocative-perhaps mess with nidah or something of that nature
The police should place Feiglin, Glick and the other Har Habayis nutcases in preventive detention until after the Pope’s visit. I’m afraid they might seek to provoke some incident to take advantage of the publicity during the visit. Do these fools realize how much resources of the security forces are diverted to focus on their meshugaas which is clear assur by virtuall all the top rabbonim or don’t they care since their underlying agenda is to provoke bloodshed in a vain quest to achieve their goal of unrestricted access to the kodesh hakdoshim.
I see the world’s greatest demagogue is grandstanding again.
Why doesn’t he do something USEFUL for his “constituents”?
Moshe Feiglin is not a fool. He is an example of so many other Jews who have their heart in the right place but not their head. His great desire to accent to Har Habeit should be shared by every Jew. Unfortunately it is not. It is this lack of desire that is no doubt a significant factor as to why we still do not have Moshiach and Beit Hamikdash. So let us admire his heart but criticizes his head.
It’s fascinating to me that moeisrael and Gadolhadorah want the Israeli police to be enforcing Halacha according to their specific Rabbanim.
Feiglin is a Frum Jew, and goes to areas of the Har Habayis according to the Psak of his Rabbanim.
Yasher koach Aryeh zelasko.. I’m ashamed of people who ridicule those who are actively connecting to our holiest site… Who still associate our holiest place with the pope
Reb Aryeh Zelasko: You are correct. His head should be nearer his heart. As it says, והיו הדברים האלה . . . על לבבך. Rather he has gone after his heart and not following yet another command, ולא תתארו אחרי לבכם. . .
True we should, and likely do, all desire to go up to Har HaBayis, but we have been prohibited to do so. Desiring it alone may or may not help us to achieve this goal, but right now bring there is not our Mitzvah. Obviously, because we do not have it. Desiring it and mourning it’s destruction is.
Lest some misunderstand what you were saying to mean feelings and desires are important in them as themselves and that they in some way justify misbehavior, I would remind them: We would to eat בשר חזיר well, but may not. We would like to have a house like our friends do, but may not covet his.
The consolation is in the chutzpah yasgi of those who feel because they can read the texts they can also decide when and how they apply even when their interpretation goes against the chachmei Yisroel of this and previous doros.
You fools above, who speak in a demeaning way about MK Feiglin, would be lucky to have 1/10th of his intelligence. He is one of the only people out there who is trying to make Israel into a reasonable Torah based State. He doesn’t not care about personal glory. He is doing what he does 100% Lechaim Shomayim and has been very consistent in what he does.
If the Chareidi, in name only, world truly desired Israel to become what it is supposed to be, they would get behind Feiglin, instead of adding Chumras upon Chumras and doing nothing to improve things.
The consolation we can take from many of these posts is in the chutzpah yasgi of those who feel because they can read the texts they can also decide when and how they apply even when their interpretation goes against the chachmei Yisroel of this and previous doros.
