Arab affairs correspondent Avi Yissacherof and photographer Daniel Bok were covering events outside Ofir Prison near the Bituniya Checkpoint in the Ramallah district. Walla News reports that the crowd of about 100 PA (Palestinian Authority) residents attacked them on Friday, 16 Iyar 5774.

The attack occurred at the PA residents burned tires outside the prison while pelting IDF forces with stones. An argument broke out between the Israeli press and young Arab males identifying themselves as members of the PA media.

Two PA forces extricated the Israelis, bringing them to the IDF Civil Administration. IDF Spokesman Major-General Yoav Mordechai thanked PA security officials for acting as they did.

The violence surrounded the funerals of two PA residents that PA reports state were killed by IDF gunfire.
