EMS organizations operating in Meron ahead of Shabbos Lag B’Omer unfortunately began working. A 10-year-old boy was injured in a vehicular accident at about 01:30 Thursday morning, 15 Iyar 5774. The accident occurred on Route 89 near Meron Junction. The child sustained head injuries and was treated by EMS personnel from Ichud (United) Hatzalah and Magen David Adom. He was listed in serious condition at the time of transport.
Ichud Hatzalah EMT Moshe Levy reports that when he arrived at the accident scene the child was unresponsive. He was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the road. The family arrived in Meron from southern Israel for Lag B’Omer.
The child was transported by a MDA chopper to the trauma unit of Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

I’m curious as to why a 10 year old was out at 1:30 in the morning.
