Papal Kosel Visit Pushed to Later in the Day to Accommodate Vasikin Minyanim

koselIt now appears that the pope’s visit to the Kosel will be pushed back to later in the day as to avoid interfering with vosikin minyanim. Kosel Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz was reportedly tenacious in his demands that papal visit take place later in the day for the morning minyanim are far more important. The rav refused to back down amid pressure, with state officials seeking to close the area to mispallalim and cancel morning minyanim to accommodate the pope.

It now appears the visit will be delayed for only one hour, to accommodate the vosikin minyanim. Unfortunately, the other minyanim are not as fortunate as the area will then be closed down in line with security assessments for the papal visit. Tefilos will continue in the closed rooms but the Kosel Plaza will be closed down. However, the gates to the plaza will be closed so anyone not already inside from the vosikin minyanim will not likely succeed in entering.

All bar mitzvos and other events will be on hold until the pope leaves the Kosel.

  1. We don’t need this piece of Tumah he doesn’t enhance anything here, and he doesn’t mean anything to us.

  2. What bar mitzvos are held on Tuesdays?

Anyway, the pope would not budge because he is makpid on davening bizman and with a minyan, whereas, most of the plaza people don’t care and are davening shachris throughout the morning.

  3. To Mark: “Let him go to the other side. What does he need our side for?”

I am not sure you understand the sheer lunacy and blasphemy of such a statement. HAR HAABYIT IS OUR’S AND THE KOTEL IS ONLY PART OF HAR HABAYIT!!! IT IS AN OUTER WALL THAT WAS ONCE UPON A TIME PART OF A MARKET PLACE. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND??? THEIR SIDE HE SAYS???

Hashem please show these fools the way, open for them your wisdom, end their foolish and heretical thoughts.
