President Barack Obama says America owes a debt to the police officers who put themselves in danger to protect the nation.
Obama is honoring the 2014 National Association of Police Organizations TOP COPS in a White House ceremony. He says the 53 officers are, in his words, “the best of the best.”
Obama says when the moment came, the officers didn’t hesitate, but took action and ran toward danger.
Some of the officers honored this year helped respond to the Boston Marathon bombing or the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard. Obama says some sustained injuries or lost friends and partners in the call of duty.
Vice President Joe Biden says the families of the officers also make sacrifices for the nations’ security, but often go without recognition.

I guess if the naacp can honor donald sterling, barry obama can give out the TOP COPS honors. But I think barry revealed quite a bit about how he views cops with his quick and wrong condemnation of officer crowley’s arrest of that idiot professor, henry louis gates.
