PHOTOS: Public Security Minister Briefed on Lag B’Omer Preparations in Meron

As Lag B’Omer preparations continue in Meron, Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich visited on Sunday, 11 Iyar, at which time he met with officials from Ichud (United) Hatzalah. Accompanying the minister was Israel Police Northern District Commander Zohar Dvir. Taking part in the meeting were senior Ichud Hatzalah officials and MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Menachem Eliezer Moses.

Ichud CEO Rabbi Ze’ev Kashash explained lessons from previous years have been learned and the deployment of manpower will be different this year as a result. He added that obvious safety improvements are visible this year as it is clear other agencies continue improving as well. The Ichud Hatzalah coverage will be for a one-week period amid a realization visitors will be arriving towards the end of this week and remaining into next week.

Ichud Deputy CEO Shraga Hoffman detailed the preparations for the minister and his contingent, adding the organization is also prepared to assist in designated parking areas and the roads leading to the Rashbi to ensure the safety of all during the event.
