Presidential hopeful MK Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, 78, the elder statesman in Knesset, confirms that rumors he is about to undergo a kidney transplant are true. He tried to play down the seriousness of the procedure, explaining today the surgical procedure is quite routine.
He told the media that one of the suitable candidates to donate a kidney is a son. He stressed that immediately following his recovery he plans to get back into the presidential race.
