A memorial for terror victims in Beersheva was vandalized hours before the nation observes Memorial Day. Students of the Amit Beersheva School arrived at the memorial on Sunday, 4 Iyar and were shocked to find someone had vandalized a memorial to 18 victims of Arab terrorism. Police were summoned and an investigation has been launched.

Meir Assulin, whose son Doron fell in combat in Gaza six years ago, was informed by a city official of the incident. “It is shocking. How can someone do such a thing to use as we unite on Memorial Day?” Mr. Assulin added that last year the site was vandalized with spray paint and to the best of his knowledge no one was apprehended.
