Ichud Hatzalah leaders were in Meron as preparations for Lag B’Omer are underway. Heads of Zaka were also present, working together as they mapped out their strategy for this year’s major undertaking, providing EMS and lost child services for the hundreds of thousands of expected visitors to Kever Rashbi.

With Lag B’Omer falling out on motzei Shabbos this year, the operation this year will last for an entire week, beginning on the Wednesday before until the end of the Tuesday after. Preparations include preparing to host a very large Shabbos crowd in Meron and the surrounding areas.

Ichud Galil Commander Nachi Klein will head the operation. He explains last year Lag B’Omer was on motzei Shabbos too. He was part of this week’s preliminary visit to the area to lay the groundwork for the major operation.
