Sources have just confirmed to YWN that three suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the murder of Menachem Stark Z”L. Our sources tell us that although there had been much speculation as to who and why had committed the murder, this tragedy had been a planned robbery, which ended very badly.
Stark, 39, was accosted and forced into a van outside his Williamsburg office late on the evening of Jan. 2. Stark’s partially burned body was found the next day by police in a trash bin at a Getty station on Cutter Mill Road in Great Neck.
As YWN reported last month, detectives had informed the Stark family that after months of investigations, an arrest was imminent. Although a date had not been set for an arrest, there was speculation that it would occur before Pesach or immediately after.

The NYPD had a suspect tied to the cellphone they lost in the van for months. It is interesting it took so long to arrest.
Taken into custody does not mean arrested. Although it looks like arrests are
imminent, the headline is misleading.
#1,
The whole thing is very suspicious.
Let’s hope its the “whole truth” and not a cover up.

THIS IS THE STORY THEY WANT US FOOLS TO BELIEVE
they have been saying this for months even before today’s arrests, how can they know?
THIS IS A DIRTY COVER UP HAPPENING IN FRONT OF OUR EYES.

sometimes knowing who did it is different than having enough evidence for a conviction
to all say coverup what cover up? what are you saying and what do you know?
Maybe the police planted the owing money story to make this guys relax their guard
Beyond a few exceptions it seems that the mafia gets away with an undue share of murders. it seems pretty rare that the prosecutor can ever come up with any physical evidence. I find it hard to believe that anyone can get away with murder nowadays let alone a murder where law enforcement can probably pinpoint the murderer, in the Stark case it seems there is plenty of physical evidence, therefore it stinks of a major cover up.
why? that’s a good question who is covering up and why?!
Getzels conspiracy theories are so twisted he should change his name to getzel the pretzel
Mr. laytzonay hador omrim
No problem no one is forcing you to go for it.
you can join the vast majority of Liberal Democrats that can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, let alone think other than what the Media and government tells them.
#8,
Don’t rush to call it conspiracy theories. No one has been charged yet on anything. All we know for certain is the few words from Police Commissioner Bratton, that the case is getting more active and is moving very quickly. There’s a reason the UJO is coming out before the DA.
Who knows if the whole truth of Everyone involved will ever come out.
Getzel seems a quite abit paranoid. What is his problem?
His problem probably is that nothing adds up in this investigation that he is following very closely.
Getzel thanks for “closely following the investigation” and for your anti-police sentiments
Peakman,
How come the UJO didn’t jump up when they had the local contractor in custody??? All of the sudden now before any charges put on anyone, they jump up! And *they* (not the Da) change the story as ‘a Robbery gone bad.’ The whole truth, for example who the contractor is, is certainly being covered up.
