The fire department was summoned to Jerusalem’s King David Street during the night between Monday and Tuesday, 29 Nissan 5774. Residents reported a very strong odor of gas.

When firefighters arrived they discovered the leak was in the area of the connection of the main gas line to the underground gas tank. Firemen felt the way the gas line appeared signaled the leak may have been the result of intentional sabotage. Police were called in to investigate.
