Yisrael Kirshtel is the world’s oldest known Holocaust survivor, at the age of 110. The Haifa resident remarried after the atrocities of the Holocaust and today he has 23 grandchildren and great-grandchildren blei ayin hora.
Kirshtel celebrated his 110th birthday last September, explaining to the press “every single day is a gift”.
When asked what his secret is after having survived two world wars and the loss of his family in the Holocaust, he responded “My secret is up there with G-d”.
