HaGaon HaRav Tzion Boaron Shlita has been hospitalized in Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim for a number of days. The rav was admitted on motzei Pesach after complaining of not feeling well. The rav is conscious, alert and interacting with his surroundings.

On Wednesday, 23 Nissan, HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Amar Shlita visited the rav, as did Shas leader Aryeh Deri.

Rav Boaron was supported in his bid to become the next Rishon L’Tzion by Rav Amar. As a result of not supporting Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef’s ZT”L candidate, his son Rav Yitzchak Shlita, Rav Amar became persona non grata in the Shas community.
