Inspectors of the Chief Rabbinate Kashrus Enforcement Unit working with Ministry of Agriculture inspectors uncovered a container of treif meat that was imported from Australia illegally.

Officials of the Ashdod Rabbinate summoned the owner of Ben Shabbat Butchers for an explanation. His hashgacha was revoked on the spot.

The rabbonim announced to the local community that anyone that recently purchased meat from the store must kasher their dishes.

The confiscated shipment of meat was destroyed.
