Vandals in Yishuv Yitzhar vandalized the vehicle of the area brigade commander during a visit. The tires of the vehicle used by Colonel Yoav Yaron were slashed while he was meeting with officials in the community. A window was smashed as well.

Community leaders and the Shomron Regional Council condemned the act and any assault against IDF soldiers and equipment. They decried the act and pointed out the absurd that the officer was in the community to assist residents while vandals carried out the attack.

In his response to the attack, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon called the vandalism an act of terrorism.
