Operation Noble Dina began in Israel on Tuesday, 23 Adar II 5774, a fourth joint exercise involving the navies of Israel, Greece and the US Sixth Fleet, with the latter arriving from Italy.
The exercise will integrate air and naval forces including submarines. A military source said the troops would carry out complex maneuvers and test the operations of control and command positions during the one-week event. In addition, rescue operations will be tested along with anti-submarine warfare as well as examining a response to an Iranian attack that involves smaller vessels simultaneously trying to attack larger vessels.
The new Snapir (Fin) port defense system will be tested during the training event.
