A Knesset Channel poll reveals 61% of the respondents oppose concessions involving Yehuda and Shomron in a deal with the PA (Palestinian Authority). The poll was carried out by “Migdam” for the Knesset Channel, by Dr. Mina Tzemach.
The poll, which was carried out last week on Channel 99 – the Knesset station, showed 39% of the public feels Israel must make concessions in Yehuda and Shomron for peace.
70% of the respondents do not view PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) as a true peace partner while 30% do.
The detailed results of the poll are to be published later in the week.

The Palestinians are indifferent to territorial concessions. They object to new settlements such as Arial as much as to old settlements such as Tel Aviv. Gush Etzion is as objectionable to them as Gush Dan. What they want is a situation such that within all of Palestine (their word for Eretz Yisrael), the Arabs feel that they are first class citizens and masters of their own house. That is the way most goyim look at things (when zionists talking about the need to be rulers and first class citizens, they are demonstrating how zionism’s goal was to be a nation like all the goyim, something they have done fairly well at).
The only Jews who are a potential peace partner are the hareidim since hareidim are more interested in being able to live their lives as they see fit rather than in ruling over their neighbors – which is why the collapse, not yet final, of the alliance between the hareidi and nationalism parties is so important – if the split becomes permanent, the non-nationalist parties are just short of a majority in the Kenesset, and the non-zionists parties are a majority of the opposition.
Probably closer to 90%, when Israeli citizens realize that Yehuda and Shomron include the Old City, Ramat Eshkol, Efrat, Maalei Adumim, Betar, parts of Modiim, etc.
