Former President Jimmy Carter says he doesn’t support the Palestinian-led “boycott, divest, sanction” campaign against Israel but says products made in what he calls “Israel-occupied Palestinian territories” (Yehuda and Shomron) should be clearly labeled.
Carter told The Associated Press in an interview that he and the other retired senior leaders known as the “Elders” discussed the economic pressure campaign against Israeli “occupation”.
“We decided not to publicly endorse any kind of embargo, or so forth, against Israeli invasion, or occupying troops in Palestine,” Carter said.
But Carter adds: “We have also encouraged Europeans for instance, at least to label products that are made by Israeli people who occupy Palestine and ship their products out of Palestine to be sold in Europe. … so that the buyers can decide whether they want to buy them or not.”

#1 kehath64,
Are you wishing death and hell upon Carter?
Every time this guy open up he’s mouth only rubbish and nonsense come out of he’s mouth. What’s the point of labeling things where they’r coming from if not to boycott them he’s trying to be nice but we all know he’s being auntie Semite. And we Need to make sure the world will know about all the medication the Israelis have developed or that Jews or all the technology many all over the world are using let the world know where it’s coming from and I want to see if any of them will stop siring it because it’s coming from isreal or it’s made by Jewish guy no one will stop siring it it’s all fake propaganda
Yes, the products of Y&S should be labeled so that I can make sure to buy only those products instead of peanuts that would benefit one that disgraced the presidency of the US.
President Carter brokered the peace deal between Israel and Egypt that has lasted 35 years and counting. I think it is the last peace deal that anyone has made or brokered for the benefit of Israel. Yet so many commenters on this site jump at every chance to vilify him. Why is that?
