“At the same time Israeli families are worried sick about loved ones taken hostage. The taking of hostages is prohibited under international humanitarian law, and anyone being held should be immediately released.
We are now in contact with Hamas and Israeli officials as part of efforts on this issue. As a neutral intermediary we stand ready to conduct humanitarian visits; facilitate communication between hostages and family members; and to facilitate any eventual release.”

I have to assume Red Cross in Gaza is sympathetic to the terrorists. They should therefore be treated as hostile forces within gaza.
I just sent them an email and this is the automated message that came back:

I’m not surprised. What bothers me is that I know several Jewish people work for them in different capacities.
the Red Cross is filled with Christian and Muslims and like the UN…sorry Jews…this Frum Chareidi no longer walks with anyone who walks with chrisitains or those who hate and harm us….know this up front

Subject line: Concern for the Welfare of Hostages in Gaza
Dear Red Cross Team in Geneva,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern for the welfare of hostages currently in Gaza. It is our moral duty to ensure their well-being and that they are provided with proper food and water while being protected from any form of abuse.
The situation in Gaza is highly complex and fraught with peril, and it is often the innocent and vulnerable who suffer the most. As a humanitarian organization with a long history of providing assistance and protection to those in need, I urge the Red Cross to take every possible step to assess the conditions of the hostages and to ensure their safety.
Specifically, I kindly request that the Red Cross:
1. Initiate contact with relevant authorities in Gaza to gain access to the hostages and assess their physical and mental well-being.
2. Ensure that the hostages have access to proper and adequate food and water.
3. Verify that the hostages are not being subjected to any form of abuse, be it physical, psychological, or otherwise.
4. Communicate with other humanitarian organizations and local partners in the region to coordinate efforts and share information about the welfare of hostages.
5. Raise awareness of this situation on an international scale to garner support for efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of the hostages.
It is essential that the Red Cross continues to uphold its mission of protecting human dignity, preventing suffering, and providing assistance to those in need, regardless of their circumstances. Your expertise and neutrality in humanitarian matters make you a vital intermediary for ensuring that the hostages in Gaza receive the help and protection they deserve.
I understand the challenges and complexities involved in operating in such a region, but I implore the Red Cross to do everything within its power to alleviate the suffering of these individuals and ensure that they are treated with the respect and care that every human being deserves.
Please keep me informed of any developments or actions taken in response to this urgent matter. I believe that your intervention can make a significant difference in the lives of these hostages, and I stand ready to support your efforts in any way I can.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to humanitarian principles and for your immediate attention to this pressing concern.

Yidposhut, they are lying. They are doing nothing for our people, because they don’t care about them at all.
For the two or three people who didn’t already know this: the ICRC has a many-decades-long history of being a deeply antisemitic organization. Polite letter writing, as if they were unaware of the situation and need only for it to be brought to their attention, will not persuade them; what might persuade them is public shaming, which is what Ms Darshan-Leitner’s video is aimed at.
