The Democratic National Committee narrowed the savings gap with its Republican counterpart in February but is still carrying $15 million in debt.
The Democratic National Committee raised $7.5 million last month and ended February with $6.9 million in the bank. Its red ink remains significant, though.
The Republican National Committee, meanwhile, raised $7.1 million to close the month with $10 million banked. The RNC has no debt.
The RNC has outraised the Democrats so far during this two-year election cycle, $95.6 million to $78.9 million. Republicans have outraised Democrats in all but four months since January 2013.
The RNC also has enjoyed a lead in saved cash every month this election cycle, but the DNC has seen the gap narrow from $8.9 million in August to $3 million last month.
