Ex El-Al Security Chief: Plane Disappearance is Probably Terrorism

Malaysia.airlines.b747-400.9m-mph.arpIran is likely to be responsible for the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, at least according to Isaac Yeffet, a former security chief for El-Al. In an interview with the Times of Israel news site, the former head of global security for El-Al claimed that although “nobody knows” what happened to the missing aircraft, the fact that two Iranians were aboard with stolen passports points to potential Iranian involvement. “They hijacked the aircraft and they landed it in a place that nobody can see or find it,” claims Yeffet.

Although Yeffet admits that whoever hijacked the plane must have had additional help, he casts doubt on theories which point to the pilots as potentially responsible. “We are talking about a captain who is 53 years old, who has worked for Malaysia Airlines for 30 years, and suddenly he became a terrorist?” he asked rhetorically.

Yeffet added that such an incident could never happen in Israel. “An El Al aircraft was hijacked for the first and last time in 1968. Since then, there has not been a single flight where security did not check every single name.”

  1. Laptop: well, they can’t have a picture of the actual plane. It’s missing! 🙂
May you never have any greater worries in your life!

  2. The reason the pilots are suspect, is because no one else has access to the ACARS or the transponder, and no one else would have known precisely when control passed from Malaysian to Vietnamese air traffic control, which is when contact was lost, or deliberately broken off.
Whether any Iranian or other passengers were also involved, is not being discussed, although in the first week, when the Iranians were first identified, it was thought that they had no known links to terror groups.

  3. If he was the current head of mossad he would have no way of knowing now that he’s the former head and as access to the same newspapers as myself I will definitely take his word for it

  4. Does anyone believe this plane could have been flown undetected and landed at some military airfield in Iran or Pakistan etc. I cannot believe the crazies in Iran really would want to have China (whose nationals are 2/3 of the victims) as their worst nightmare? If they wanted to highjack a big commercial jet, there are plenty of commercial airports in North Africa which would have been much softer targets.

  5. Malaysia air should contact R. Kanievsky or some big mekubal and ask where exactly is that plane located, in exchange they should always always vote in favor of Israel on the UN and maybe expand economy with Israel
